Project Brief
Steel roadway plates needed a non-skid finish that could withstand abrasion caused by heavy vehicular traffic and exposure to salt used on the roadways during extreme winters.
Our Solution
Steel plates were sand blasted to achieve proper anchor profile
No primer used due to adhesion enhancer additive; SPI’s AE-4TM
SPI’s HT-SLTM with AE-4TM was applied to the steel plate surfaces with aluminum oxide broadcast throughout the coating matrix to create a non-skid, abrasion resistant finish that complied with NYS DOT regulation rule #36
