ISO 9001:2015 certification

SPI Performance Coatings Limited have recently achieved their ISO 9001 : 2015 certification through QMS International. This internationally-recognised standard for Quality Management will help SPI Performance Coatings to provide a first-class service to their customers.

Steve Reeder, the consultant who visited SPI Performance Coatings on behalf of QMS, praised their preparation saying: “they were fantastic to engage with and very forward leaning in their approach to certification. They were already doing the majority of the work required, so they were a long way towards producing the relevant documentation to meet the requirements of the standard.”

He added:

“in my opinion, SPI Performance Coatings Limited had already identified how beneficial the certification would be both to their reputation and to their approach to quality management. They displayed the attitude that resourcing the project of meeting the requirements and sustaining it going forward, would be afforded every consideration and the attention required.”

Steve noted that during his visit “SPI Performance Coatings embraced all that was discussed and were very eager to learn how the process of continual improvement would enable them to remain compliant and improve their customer support.”

On the changes made following his visit, Steve explained “the company expanded the use of its customer satisfaction, non-conformities and complaint recording to identify trends and improvement opportunities. This allowed the management team to have oversight of all processes and ensure all remedial work is undertaken in a timely manner.”

Steve commended the staff at SPI Performance Coatings saying, “every member of staff I encountered was especially helpful, but Keith Davidson (Business Operations Manager) could not have been more helpful and extended every professional courtesy.”
